INLAY & BINDING

Logos, tuner buttons and nut blanks are cut from the large Australian Mother of Pearl shell Pinctada maxima and sourced from the cultured pearl industry in the northern tropical waters of Australia.

Floral headstock inlays and fingerboard position markers are cut from Japanese Awabi (abalone) Haliotis madaka

Inlays are cut and inlaid by hand using a fine jewelers saw blade to cut both the shell and headstock veneer.

Standard model headstocks are inlaid with pearl and abalone and bodies, headstocks and fingerboards bound in ivoroid with black/white purfling.
Junior models are unbound except for black top binding and an embossed headstock logo.
